About Us

Equiphoria Ltd.

Equiphoria Ltd. was established in 2021 as a limited company, registered in Scotland. We are based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and serve all of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. We can also travel out of our area if demand is there, or travel is covered.

Our services are presently focussed around bit and bridle fitting, and sports massage. We believe that these subjects go hand in hand with each other given the depth of knowledge and understanding of equine anatomy which is involved with each.

As a supplier of bits and bridles, our goal is to be able to provide our clients with a wide range of styles from a variety of brands. We value the importance of being independent and not being tied to a particular brand. As a company we are continually working to extend the product range available to us and welcome suggestions of brands or products our clients would like us to supply. We also respect our clients right to choice, and will never hard sell any products that we offer.

Sarah Smart
(Cert.ESMT, IAAMT, MIRVAP(MT), IAAT, EAPER)
Director / Practitioner at Equiphoria Ltd.

With over 20 years of equestrian experience, I have always had a strong interest in horse welfare and helping horses to reach their full potential.

I am a qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist (Cert. ESMT) with Equissage Europe (with distinction), Equi-Tape® Practitioner, and HBFA LANTRA Bit and Bridle Fitting Consultant (With higher distinction).

I provide Equine Sports Massage, kinesiology (using Equi-Tape®) and bit / bridle fitting which I believe are very much inter-linked. I appreciate the importance of treating the ‘whole’ horse.

I am always looking to broaden my knowledge and keep up to date with the latest research and developments in my chosen specialities through regular continual professional development via reputable and respected sources such as Centaur Biomechanics and Horses Inside Out.

I have developed a particular interest in Equine Myofascial Kinetic Connections and their potential impact on soundness and performance. This is a subject I’m keen to develop further knowledge on moving forwards in addition to continual professional development.

Cameron Smart
Director at Equiphoria Ltd.

With over 25 years' experience working as an engineer across a variety of industries, and the past 17 working in the oil and gas industry as a HVAC engineer (and the past 7 of those 17 years as a contract manager), I have gained invaluable experience in managing contracts and people and providing technical and contractual support to colleagues and clients at all levels.

I am a dedicated person who cherishes a challenge and am well known for my attention to detail among colleagues and clients that I work with...something which I have already brought to Equiphoria...possibly to Sarah's slight annoyance.

I also have a lot of experience in making cups of tea for Sarah, spanning some 15 years now. I therefore consider myself to be somewhat of an expert in this field, and this is also a skill I have brought to Equiphoria.
